Meet Jesty, our January member of the month! Jesty was chosen by our coaching staff due to his dedication and consistency to training. He works hard, has fun and it’s been incredible to watch him grow as an athlete since he started. Check out what he had to say about his experience at Proficient so far.

Q: How long have you been a member at Proficient?
A: I’ve signed up last year 29th of Sept and started the workout on 4th of Oct.

Q: What is your favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete?
A: Workout while having fun ☺️

Q: How would you describe the community at Proficient?
A: Friendly, accommodating, very supportive community, feels like my 2nd home

Q: What advice do you have for someone who is intimidated by group fitness?
A: I literally know someone who is intimidated by group fitness and told exactly the same thing. Face that fear and listen to your body, each of us has its own strength and weaknesses. Who cares if they run fast and I don’t, if they can lift heavy and I can’t, I won’t be punished but I will be challenged. At the end of the day, it’s my body, my health.

Q: Favourite music to sweat to?
A: Any upbeat music, except high pitch voice songs (sorry)

Q: Least favourite music to sweat to?
A: none I can’t think off, as long as its not slow music I guess?

Q: Favourite movement/workout?
A: Burpees and running!*

Q: Least favourite movement/workout?
A: Handstand push up, Ring muscle up.
* *it’s literally the other way around ☺️trying to love what I don’t, but still progress/excel on what I love

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient Community that inspires and motivates you to be better?
A: each of the athlete does have a unique strength that inspires me, and all of them motivates me.

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient community that needs to know you are coming for them? Feel free to put them on notice!
A: None in particular, but on some occasions, I use that to motivate others too, not to name but you know who you are! lol

Q: Favourite post-workout meal?
A: ANYTHING 😉 none in particular to be honest

Q: What fitness-related goals do you have for 2022?
A: Run fast and longer without really struggling with breathing, and oh, forgot to mention – keen to bring my old 6 packs back..

Q: Describe your athletic abilities in five words or less.
A: My both strength is improving

Q: What’s your background story outside of Proficient?
A: Just a typical remote worker person working as a Digital, Robotics and Automation Solutions Architect, previously as Systems Engineering Team lead for Global Mining modern company, living and taking life easy (I think)
