Meet our October member of the month, Erin! She is an early riser, down to earth and a great part of our community.
We asked her about her journey so far at CrossFit Proficient and this is what she had to say.

Q: How long have you been a member at Proficient?
A: Around 4 years

Q: What is your favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete?
A: I love how good I feel after each session.

Q: How would you describe the community at Proficient? 
A:  Very supportive. We love a chat and a laugh.

Q: What advice do you have for someone who is intimidated by group fitness?
A: Don’t worry about comparing yourself to others- just get started.

Q: Favourite music to sweat to?
A:  Anything that I can sing along with. I love a mix.

Q: Least favourite music to sweat to?
A: None – I’m not fussy.

Q: Favourite movement/workout?
A: Clean and jerks.

Q: Least favourite movement/workout?
A:  Overhead squats. Hate them. Running anything longer than 400m.

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient Community that inspires and motivates you to be better?
A: Maria- she pushes me to do better every session. She holds me accountable and I really appreciate it.

A: Maria hahaha….

Q: Favourite post-workout meal?
A:  high protein pancakes with strawberries and yoghurt.

Q: What fitness-related goals do you have for 2022?
A: I want to do a one pull up.

Q: Describe your athletic abilities in five words or less.
A: Determined and improving

Q: What’s your background story outside of Proficient? 
A:  I’m a mum of two boys, I work in education and I love a  good wine
