Wellness Levels

What do the Wellness Levels mean?

Here at CrossFit Proficient we have Wellness Levels to set milestones for each of our members. By breaking down fundamental CrossFit movements into a progression chart we can better strategise and reach our individual goals. The Wellness Levels are not used to compare your performance to other athletes. Its sole purpose is to motivate, encourage, and track progression.

How does it work?

The members must first show discipline, heart, and dedication to test for each level. If you are a natural athlete and can complete the requirements, but do not show dedication by attending class weekly and training hard, you WILL NOT be promoted.  In addition to this, the member must have the ability to complete 80% of the requirements at the respected level. Once you have met the required training time frame, completed 80% of the requirements, and demonstrate discipline, you can then be promoted to the next level.

How do we use this in your Fitness Journey?

The Wellness Level represents the “Sickness Wellness Fitness” continuum. Our goal is to get all our members to Blue/Green. These levels represent Wellness. By starting all our members with the basics of fitness this allows us to help you no matter your fitness level. No need to get fit before joining :). Let us help you plan your fitness/health journey from day 1.

How do I mark off the requirements for my current level?

Testing will be integrated into your daily classes, as well as dedicated “Wellness Weeks” that will have more dedicated testing sessions planned to help track progression. You will also have the opportunity to tick these off under the guidance of a coach in open gym or by booking a 60min Wellness Level Assessment with a coach.
