Member of the Month – May

Meet our member of the month for May, Mary! She is part of our Mums & Bubs program and each week she comes in and put in everything she has. Being a young mum, she knows the importance of self care and looking after herself.

We asked her some questions about her journey so far, here are her answers.

Q: How long have you been a member at Proficient?
A:  nearly 5 months 

Q: What is your favourite thing about being a Proficient athlete?
A: being part of a supportive team 

Q: How would you describe the community at Proficient? 
A:  family friendly, inclusive, positive environment 

Q: What advice do you have for someone who is intimidated by group fitness?
A: just give it a try-you have nothing to lose

Q: Favourite music to sweat to?
A: R&B

Q: Least favourite music to sweat to?
A:  metal 

Q: Favourite movement/workout?
A: dancing! 

Q: Least favourite movement/workout?
A:  burpees 

Q: Is there a member of the Proficient Community that inspires and motivates you to be better?

Q: Favourite post-workout meal?
A:  salmon and avocado on toast 

Q: What fitness-related goals do you have for 2023
A: feel stronger post partum,   build a stronger core and increase endurance 

Q: Describe your athletic abilities in five words or less.
A:  committed and focused 

Q: What’s your background story outside of Proficient?
A:  hospital pharmacist and mum to two little girls. I love travelling the world!
